Biography
Katerina Papageorgiou studied Biomedical Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In her second master year, she started an internship at the Biology of the Testis research group for one academic year. She studied the role of Sertoli cells in testicular organoids derived from transgender testicular tissue. She obtained her Master degree in June 2023 and started as a PhD student at BITE in September 2023 where she studies the effect of endocrine-disrupting chemicals on steroidogenesis by using human testicular organoids.
